Happy birthday to the Queen! Yep, the Australians are celebrating the Queen's birthday, and even tho I don't, I'm happy that today is a public holiday.

So you might notice that I've revamped my blog! I loved the previous template, but I wanted a more personalized one, so here we are! I spent the whole afternoon doodling and resizing pics o.O

Other than sitting in front of my laptop, I managed to make some red bean rice balls...I'm sure most of you won't have any idea, so here's a photo:

They look and taste like mochi! Why only 5, you ask? Because it's hard to mold this thing! The dough sticks to my finger and quite hard to wash off, so I gave up at 5.

I got the recipe from Okashi, my favorite baking book to date :)

I have a lot of red bean paste leftover from another recipe, I don't know what to do with it! I will make a batch of green tea jelly *which calls for red bean paste for a side* but I doubt it will need that much red bean paste. Humm.

Aah but I'll have to wait until Wednesday until I can bake or cook something else. Holiday's over! :(

Anyway, Nadia asked me to draw a character for my church's news, so I came up with this. She's to be called Joy. My church is Place of Joy (POJ) and the newsletter's called Joy Cast. Joyjoyjoy. People, meet Joy! xD Funny cos I have a niece named Joy :p

It was a really quick drawing, and I haven't managed to color her. The news is BW so this will do for now hey.

I changed this blog's layout (again!). Just realised that I had a hard time trying to read my own posts using the last layout; the font is just too small and the space isn't that well arranged. It's a shame tho, having it lookin all pretty and stuff!

So, this one. Legible font, calming colours (?) and space! Woot.

Sometimes ago, I wanted to write a serious-er blog. I used to write my blog on FS, then I moved here *yay*, bearing the thought that I don't want to write funny things anymore in my new blog. Then I thought *again*, "No, life will be tooo boring without jokes". Which is very true, my dear friends. So I deleted some of my 'too-serious' posts. Hmm I feel lighter already. No I think I feel dizzy. Blame the weather!! XD yaay

Dear myself, stop deleting your blogs!

Ok,
so to my dearest self in the past,

I just want to say, stop deleting your blogs! I've had enough!
You just keep writing things...And then you keep deleting them...
I want this one to survive-no, I want this one to be something.
I don't know what, make something good, like great! :D

Let me share an idea with you, myself,
I, we, wrote something in our another blog before.
As far as I remember, we called it letter to xx years old me (can't remember the value of xx).
I liked that one, oh yes I know the idea wasn't that original but...
Yeah, I liked it. I know you did, too.

So maybe from now, I'm gonna write letters. To you. Yepp, to myself. To myself in the past, to myself now. Just wanna remind them, that I, here see their future. Their x years later, their months, their weeks or days later. Just wanna tell them that I, them, survived until today. I wanna tell them that...well, they're ok today, safe and sound. Things like that. Sounds crazy? Yay! XD
